“Redigging the Wells of Prayer” And Faith

(Article inspired by the Book Alive in Christ –Chapter 4 by Pastor Brent Sloss)

“Redigging the wells of Prayer” and Faith are separate subjects but must work in conjunction with one onto the other. Without Faith we really have nothing to pray or hope for and without prayer our faith will weaken, it will dry up. In order for us to go deeper into the Faith or the hidden things in God we must first Redig the well. We see Jesus using this parallel in scripture Luke 5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught This illustrates that in order to have a glorious relationship with the Holy Spirit we must seek it through fervent prayer; With praying that may cause us to sweat in blood; as our saviour did before going to the cross. Luke 22:44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. Without a strong prayer life we become like the Philistines which in reference means “to roll in the dust” and our prayer lives will become stopped up by the dirt in our lives, the flesh, sin and the devil etc. (Alive in Christ by Pastor Brent Sloss- pg. 70) To redig the wells in your prayer life you will need to make an oath to the Lord and set your faith on reaching the treasure that will come through by digging deep down in your own well. That treasure is clarity and purity in Christ, His Love, His Thoughts and His Life; all working in a great capacity through you.  It all begins with Prayer and Faith, which is all the Holy Spirit needs to open up His heart of wisdom and knowledge with great purity and power. We must always be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in purity.  Ephesians 5:26-27  26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. It is a great blessing when the Holy Spirit leads us into a prayer life. Through our own seeking of deeper prayer we will be a greater blessing to the corporate body.  Prayer brings a stronger Faith to yourself as well as the body of Christ and led us all to establish strength in our walk with God. “The ultimate purpose of prayer is fellowship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.” (ALIVE in Christ by Pastor Brent Sloss pg. 72)  It should be the goal of every reborn Spirit to become more like their Saviour; We   become more like Christ through His word and prayer. I Timothy 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer  As we fully follow the Lord, the Saviour of the world, we will lack no good thing.  RW. Schambach says “You don’t have any problems; all you need is faith in God.” Through prayer and seeking God He will give us a word of knowledge or of wisdom or he may give us a vision of something to come.  We must stand in Faith on the word God gives us and He will send someone to confirm it.  God will send other Godly people who He trusts to step out and speak for Him on what He is going to do, He will confirm the vision.  God’s word will never return void, it is His promise to His children and God fulfills all His promises. Isaiah 55-11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  “All you need is in the anointing …. All the people, All the resources, All the vision, All the finances. Everything you need in the anointing.” 2 Peter 1:3-4 3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. The Lord tells us that out of our belly’s shall flow living water and as Pastor Sloss illustrates in the book by rediging the wells of Prayer we will produce “ Pure, crystal clear rivers of living water and Praise, boldness and the anointing will spring up out of those newly dug wells. John 7: 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. & ALIVE in Christ pg. 82. We draw from the well on an ongoing basis through prayer, staying in God’s word and the relationships with others whom are in Christ. Prayer is an important part of the Fathers communication to us and us communicating to Him.  Jesus demonstrates its importance by teaching it to the disciples, if He did not think it was important He would not have taken the time to teach it to them. Matthew 6: 9-13 9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for  ever Amen. Prayer ministers unto the Lord and we receive instruction through his word given to us while we pray.  It is like an open communication between a parent and their children.  The parent delights in giving the child instruction and the child praises and worships their parent. Psalm 6:9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.   It is a relationship built on      Faith in knowing that you’re Lord God, Your Father is always there for you. Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake  thee.  Prayer brings an attitude of love and love cast out all fear 1John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.  Prayer gives us a weapon of warfare against the enemy; by putting on the amour of God and standing in Faith against the enemy. Ephesian 6:11-18 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  We could pray or intercede for many people or God could call us to intercede for one. You must intercede with Faith that God will work all things according to His plans; and just because we don’t see results right away doesn’t mean that God isn’t working.  Stand in Faith and on the word of God.  God delivered His people out of the bondage of Egypt. He took care of them in the wilderness.  God sent down Manna from Heaven for Elijah when He was too exhausted to even fight one more day.  He is a God who hears His people when they cry out to Him.  God is the same yesterday, today as he will be tomorrow.  He is no respecter of persons and what He will do for one, He will do for another. However you must Pray; God cannot give you the desires of your heart without asking Him. We must be transparent and walk by Faith not by sight.  2 Corinthians 5:7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We need Faith and we need to redig the wells of Prayer.  People have given way to the fast past world that we live in. They don’t take the time to pray or worship the Lord, which is necessary to feel somewhat revived by the Spirit of God.  Its’ not about just enough to get them to Sunday.  Prayer should be your lifestyle if you are a worshipper of the living God. Prayer and Faith go hand in hand. Faith restores your prayer life and Prayer builds your Faith.  A.A. Allen said “Much Prayer Much Power” RW Schambach later rewrote the book based on this principle.   If you want to flow in a great anointing you must spend time getting to know the source of that power. You must be obedient to the direction that the Holy Spirit leads you in. If you are walking in the Spirit you are walking in the will of God. He will keep you and bless you until you depart from this world. God loves you and He wants to bring more wisdom and knowledge to His children. He has a phone line that never goes down, is never cut off,  it operates twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, it does not cost you anything and is only a simple prayer away. Keep your line of communication open!!  In Jesus Name…Amen.

Kingdom Blessing to you & May God Keep You in all things pertaining to Life & Godliness                                                                                                                           ~Sincerely Cindy
